Love has always made people crazy, in good or bad ways and it's the only thing that can do that. It's elusive, mysterious and it seems like we never really fully understand it but I think we can all agree it's the best thing in the world!

So celebrate your love, whatever it may be with this little gift from me. I created 4 love cards for you to print at home and use in your crafts, decorations or cards. Back to School - Getting Ready

The first day of school is around the corner and everyone is busy getting ready. My kids are never happy to go back to school, they would rather their vacation would last at least two months more...

Back to School - 30 Freebie Lunch Box Notes

I can't believe school is around the corner (for some it has already started). I look at my kids and I can't believe how fast they have grown. The other day a friend wrote she doesn't understand the crying moms on the first day of school. I have to admit I was a crying mom when they were younger but now I'm over it.





However I still like to make them feel special and loved with a little note in their lunch box. This year I decided to create my own lunch box notes. So far I have made 30 loving notes for an entire month and I want to SHARE them all with you!

Click on the link and download the file. Print the file and cut the notes. I made them all squared so cutting will be fast and easy. I plan to create more notes, hopefully a different one for each day of the year and share them with you in parts (I hope I can do it...how many school days are there anyway?)

Happy Passover

Today we are celebrating Passover, one of the most important Jewish holidays, celebrating freedom, Miracles and faith. It's also celebrating spring and the awakening of nature.

 

Here's a little freebie tag you can print and use as a gift tag, card or name card.

 

 

Here is the story of Passover in a nutshell: After many decades of slavery to the Egyptian pharaohs, God saw the people’s distress and sent Moses to Pharaoh with a message: “Send forth my people.” But despite numerous warnings, Pharaoh refused to heed God’s command. God then sent upon Egypt ten devastating plagues, afflicting them and destroying everything from their livestock to their crops.

 

At the stroke of midnight of 15 Nissan (The Hebrew month coinciding with April) in the year 1313 BCE, God visited the last of the ten plagues on the Egyptians, killing all their firstborn. While doing so, God spared the Children of Israel, “passing over” their homes, hence the name of the holiday. Pharaoh’s resistance was broken, and he virtually chased his former slaves out of the land. The Israelites left in such a hurry, in fact, that the bread they baked as provisions for the way did not have time to rise. Six hundred thousand people, left Egypt on that day, and began the trek to Mount Sinai and to the Promised Land.

The highlight of Passover is the Seder, a fifteen-step family-oriented tradition and ritual-packed feast.
The focal points of the Seder are:

* Eating matzah.

* Eating bitter herbs to commemorate the bitter slavery endured by the Israelites.

* Drinking four cups of wine or grape juice—a royal drink to celebrate our new found freedom.

* The recitation of the Haggadah, a liturgy that describes in detail the story of the Exodus from Egypt.

Spring Freebie

I don't know what the weather is like where you live, but here it's nice and warm and spring is definitely is in the air. Flowers are starting to appear, the day is getting longer and Passover is just three weeks away...well, spring is here for sure! To celebrate spring here's a fun freebie for you!

I had many questions on how to use the freebies. They can be used in two ways:

1. PNG file for digital designs: copy the png file and use it as part of your digital designs. It will work with graphic programs like photoshop. This type f file has no background so you can plant it anywhere.

 

2. JPG file for traditional designs: copy the file and print it on paper. Then you can cut it around the edges or cut it in a shape or a frame with your cutting machine.

Shana Tova (Happy New Year) double freebie

The Jewish New Year is just around the corner and I'm starting the celebrations with a really cute freebie!

One of the traditions of the Jewish New Year is to eat apple with honey. The apple is for a round, whole and smooth year and the honey is for a sweet year.  These symbols are often found on holiday cards, decorations, dishes as well as food, together with the bee that is responsible for making that delicious honey.

I love Prima's "Build a Page" contest! Every month they have a sketch and blog readers are welcomed to design a layout. It's really fun working with a sketch, because you can interpret it any way you want and add your personal touch. I have done two layouts for the December and January BAP contest and they were both picked up by Prima and published on their blog!!

December LO: ADORABLE: cute layout with two of my old baby photos. Embellished with hand made flags and a lot of flowers, birds and girls sitting on a tree branch.

January LO: NATURE BOY: A nature layout with my boy who loves flowers and the outdoors. The background was misted and I added flowers, a tree and cut out flower shapes from some Prima's papers leftovers.

Frames Freebie

Here is another fun freebie for your digital and traditional scrapbook layouts and projects.

You can cut the frames after printing them, color them and add embellishments. You can also print them on a pattern paper or a cardstock and then cut it. If you are a digital fan, you can add the png file to your design. They can frame a photo, be an embellishment or a journaling spot

Wow! I can't believe another year is over. It went by so fast; it seems I didn't get anything done.
