Spring Freebie

I don't know what the weather is like where you live, but here it's nice and warm and spring is definitely is in the air. Flowers are starting to appear, the day is getting longer and Passover is just three weeks away...well, spring is here for sure! To celebrate spring here's a fun freebie for you!

I had many questions on how to use the freebies. They can be used in two ways:

1. PNG file for digital designs: copy the png file and use it as part of your digital designs. It will work with graphic programs like photoshop. This type f file has no background so you can plant it anywhere.

 

2. JPG file for traditional designs: copy the file and print it on paper. Then you can cut it around the edges or cut it in a shape or a frame with your cutting machine.

Boo!

Happy Purim friends! We are celebrating the Jewish holiday of Purim. The happiest holiday of the year, when we ware costumes, have parties and generally celebrate life!!
Here's a digital layout I created with a photo of my pirate son.

For those of you who don't know what Purim is, here s the short version: The story of Purim is told in the Biblical book of Esther. The heroes of the story are Esther, a beautiful young Jewish woman living in Persia, and her cousin Mordecai. Esther was taken to the house of Ahasuerus, King of Persia, to become part of his harem. King Ahasuerus loved Esther more than his other women and made Esther queen.The king did not know that Esther was a Jew, because Mordecai told her not to reveal her identity. The villain of the story is Haman, who hated Mordecai because Mordecai refused to bow down to him, so Haman plotted to destroy the Jewish people. The king gave the fate of the Jewish people to Haman, to do as he pleased to them. Mordecai persuaded Esther to speak to the king on behalf of the Jewish people. She told the king of Haman's plot against her people and he overturned Haman's verdict. The Jewish people were saved, and Haman was hanged on the gallows that had been prepared for Mordecai.

The word "Purim" means "lots" and refers to the lottery that Haman used to choose the date for the Jews' massacre. It is customary to wear costumes and hold carnival-like celebrations. We are commanded to read the book of Esther as well as eat, drink and be merry. In addition, we are commanded to send out gifts of food or drink, and to make gifts to charity.

Christmas tags freebies

To all my friends who celebrate Christmas, here's a little freebie to make your Christmas preparations a little easier. You can download these tags directly from the blog. Just click on the photo! The photo is a PNG file but if you don't have the right program for it,just save it as a JPG file.

You can use the tags for your digital designs or print them, cut them out and use them o decorate your sitting cards, cards or make them into a gift card. The possibilities are endless...

Shana Tova (Happy New Year) double freebie

It's time for another fun freebie for all off you that celebrate the Jewish New Year. This time I've made two freebies: one in Hebrew and one in English.

 

 

You can copy the file and add whatever you want using Photoshop or other graphic design program, or you can copy and paste it, print it on paper and you have a ready card! You can also send it via email!

Bee Digital Freebie

The Jewish New Year is just around the corner and I'm starting the celebrations with a really cute freebie!

One of the traditions of the Jewish New Year is to eat apple with honey. The apple is for a round, whole and smooth year and the honey is for a sweet year.  These symbols are often found on holiday cards, decorations, dishes as well as food, together with the bee that is responsible for making that delicious honey.

Spring freebie!

Today all Jews celebrate Passover, a very important holiday celebrating freedom, Miracles and faith. This is also a holiday celebrating spring and the awakening of nature. Here is a spring cluster freebie to celebrate the holiday of spring, may it be Passover or Easter.

Here is the story of Passover in a nutshell: After many decades of slavery to the Egyptian pharaohs, God saw the people’s distress and sent Moses to Pharaoh with a message: “Send forth my people.” But despite numerous warnings, Pharaoh refused to heed God’s command. God then sent upon Egypt ten devastating plagues, afflicting them and destroying everything from their livestock to their crops.

At the stroke of midnight of 15 Nissan (The Hebrew month coinciding with April) in the year 1313 BCE, God visited the last of the ten plagues on the Egyptians, killing all their firstborn. While doing so, God spared the Children of Israel, “passing over” their homes, hence the name of the holiday. Pharaoh’s resistance was broken, and he virtually chased his former slaves out of the land. The Israelites left in such a hurry, in fact, that the bread they baked as provisions for the way did not have time to rise. Six hundred thousand people, left Egypt on that day, and began the trek to Mount Sinai and to the Promised Land.

The highlight of Passover is the Seder, a fifteen-step family-oriented tradition and ritual-packed feast.
The focal points of the Seder are:

* Eating matzah.

* Eating bitter herbs to commemorate the bitter slavery endured by the Israelites.

* Drinking four cups of wine or grape juice—a royal drink to celebrate our newfound freedom.

* The recitation of the Haggadah, a liturgy that describes in detail the story of the Exodus from Egypt.

Frames Freebie

Here is another fun freebie for your digital and traditional scrapbook layouts and projects.

You can cut the frames after printing them, color them and add embellishments. You can also print them on a pattern paper or a cardstock and then cut it. If you are a digital fan, you can add the png file to your design. They can frame a photo, be an embellishment or a journaling spot

Hanukkah Freebie

Here is another great freebie for you, and this time especially for Hanukkah! This freebie can be used as a journaling spot, as a frame for a photo or as an embellishment for all your Hanukkah projects.

If you want to use it in your digital designs, just copy the PNG file to your computer and add it to your project. You can add color, change the size, add shadow, glow and other effects. You can also use it in your traditional designs! Copy it to your computer and print it on a piece of paper. Cut it and add to your project. You can color it, add glitter or adhere it to the paper with 3D foam tape to add dimension.

For all of you digital designers out there, here is a treat for you. An original digital stamp for all your layouts or cards. All you need to do is download it to your computer (PNG file) and use it!

All of the traditional scrappers, please do not despair. You can use this stamp in traditional scrapbooking as well. Copy the image to your computer and print it. You can print it on a nice piece of paper, mat it and embellish it. You can also cut it and adhere to any project you want.

Day 8 Mission: (if you choose to accept it) is to share your favorite holiday project. It can be a layout, a card, mini album, home décor, whatever project you like the most. Digital fall cluster Freebie

Have I got a treat for you! After getting such great comments on the Fall Cluster tutorial I got in a creative mood and decided to create a digital version as well. This cluster is full of flowers, leaves, branches and other details, all in beautiful fall colors.

You can use it for your digital projects such as cards or layouts. All you need to do is save the image (png file) to your computer. You can also use it in traditional projects simply by copy the image, resizing it and printing the cluster on a cardstock or pattern paper, cut it in any shape and add to your card or layout!

New! Digital Freebies

I'm so excited! Finally I can share with you my new blog feature: free digital stamps!

Every month I will post a new stamp that you can use on your projects. All you need to do is save this stamp in your computer. The stamp is a png file that you can change to any type of file you need. Here are a few ways you can use this stamp:

• Digital scrapbooking – drag the stamp to your LO, color it, make it bigger or smaller and even multiply it.

• Traditional scrapbooking – print the stamp on any piece of paper, cut it and add to any Lo.

• Cards – you can add the stamp to your Digi or Traditional cards.

• Paper crafts – create a banner, a home décor decoration or add to a photo frame.

Halloween is just around the corner, so what is more suitable than to start this new, fun, free feature with a cute "scary" stamp!
