FaveCrafts Blog Hop: Paper Crafts

February's FaveCrafts blog hop is all about paper crafts…my favorite! To hop with us go here and find all the artists that are part of the blog hop.

I want to share with you a mini album I made all from paper, different kinds of paper. I had fun playing with thickness and sizes of papers, paper stickers, pockets, tags and even paper ribbons I created myself.

The mini album is titled: "The sweetest things in life are made of these". Each page is dedicated to a different sweet thing of life!

Have best friends and laugh

Sing all day

Be happy always

Find the one

Enjoy

Love

Dance

The mini was a special project I made for Glitz, using only their materials.

Have fun creating!

Recycled Crafts – FaveCraft Blog Hop

We're hopping again with all of our friends at FaveCraft! This time we're all sharing recycled projects! Great ideas and inspiration on how to create wonderful projects using everyday objects, leftover materials, things you don't need anymore and even things you want to throw away.

My project is a printer's trey. But this is not your ordinary printer's trey, the one you buy at the craft store. My trey is made from an old tea box I didn't need. At first I wanted to throw it away, but then I saw its compartments and I had an idea: why not turn it into a printer's trey?!

I painted it and added photos. To make it interesting I gave each photo a little curve. Then I added a few handmade embellishments. I made it really simple and easy because as it turned out, I ended up teaching it in a few classes for girls and teenagers.

Have fun creating!

How to use your scraps tutorial – FaveCraft Blog Hop

It's time to go hopping again! Today all my designer friends at FaveCraft are posting about a project finished on the 15th. This time I want to share with you my Free Spirit layout and an easy fun technique to use your scraps or better yet your wrappings.

In this age of recycling, some of the companies are creating wrappings that we can use as embellishments or paper in our projects. This way instead of throwing the wrapping away, we can use it in our project and help make the environment cleaner. In my layout I used a prima small stamp wrapping as an accent. The bright turquoise color complements the other colors on the layout and the scalloped edges add dimension and interest. The scalloped edges were originally part of the wrapping, so I didn't have to change it. It even had cute birds on it that were just right for the a layout theme.

Try to think of more ways to use your leftovers and scraps and help keep the planet cleaner.
keep on hopping to see more wonderful creations and inspiration!

Flowery layout…not just for girls – FaveCraft Blog Hop

Today I'm hopping again with all my designer friends at FaveCrafts blog. We all share a project finished on the 15th!

I don't know what the weather is where you live, but its hot here! Sitting in my cool studio (thank God for AC) I decided to create a layout with some spring (cooler) photos. We went on a trip to see the flowers bloom and my two boys, who love flowers, wanted a photo with each flower they saw.
You probably ask yourselves a flowery layout for boys? Yes! Why not?! I have told my opinion on that question before, flowery layouts can work for boys just as well as they work for girls. I used Prima pattern papers: "reflections" for my background and cut flowers from "Kashana" paper. I added a few flowers and buttons to complete the layout. If you combine "boys" colors background like blue, or turquoise with red, yellow or green flowers you can create great flowery layouts even for boys!

Have fun!
