Solving a problem

Anyone who has kids knows that there are a few fundamental problems in childhood. One of them is who will be the first to count at “hide and seek”. In order to solve this problem my two boys found an equally famous solution: “paper, rock and scissors”. I managed to take photos of the entire process and you can almost hear them discussing the situation, finding the solution and solving the problem.

This is a design I made for the Kiki Art DT. I wanted to tell the story in a unique way so I cut little birds, inked them, and added an eye and they are telling the story.

The translation from Hebrew is: the headline: “Paper, Rock and Scissors” the journaling that one bird is saying to the other: “What do two boys do when they can’t decide who will count?” and the other bird answers: “They think, discuss the matter and decide – paper, rock and scissors!”
