Day 2 project: Cuttlebug Magic – Napkin holders

Christmas tree: I used Spellbinders Nestabilities to cut layers from a few green pattern papers. Then I attached them on top of each other with foam tape to give them a look of a Christmas tree. Finally I adhered the tree to a strap of green paper that I attached at the edge to create a ring shape.

Menorah: I used Spellbinders Nestabilities to cut 4 different sizes of frames. I cut each frame in half. I adhered the halves to my background with foam tape to give it dimension. Then I added the centre candle holder and leg from strips of paper. Finally I added the little flames. I attached the background to a ring shaped strip of paper.

















Day 2 mission: (if you choose to accept it) is to Write about the funniest or most weird holiday dinner you've ever had. Post it on your blog, on FB, on message boards, anywhere on line you want with a link to the Blog Party. Then go back to my blog and write a comment with a link to your post.

Day 2 giveaway: Spellbinders Nestabilities – Peony. Includes 6 dies and can be used on most leading Die-Cut systems!

Scrapbook (Haggadah) for Passover – part 2

Don't be alarmed, I didn't forget the lucky winner of the blog candy. The name of that lucky someone is posted at the end of the post.

Last time we braked for a Passover dinner, now after a good meal we can continue to look at the Haggadah. These next two pages are filled with funny faces photos!

A page with text only.

A page that has photos of mother and daughters.

Interactive pages: one with a flap that has some small photos in it. The other page has a small book that holds photos of all the members of the family.

These pages are all about singing! The song talks about different elements in Judaism that starts from 1 God. Each verse the numbers grow, for example 3 fathers (refers to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob), 4 mothers (Sara, Lea, Rebecca and Rachel), 10 commandments and so on. I included a family version to this song by adding relevant photos, starting with 1 mom, my mom!

The last page of the Haggadah is a family tree.

My favorite birthday was last year, because my eldest son, who was 10 and a half at the time made me an amazing present. He made me a scrapbook all by himself, with photos, embellishments and even journaling. He came to me and said: "Mom, I made a traditional scrapbook for you" (he meant that it's not a digital scrapbook). I was so moved, happy, excited, surprised and very very proud. After all what a better present can a designer like me receive? It wasn't just that he made a scrapbook on his own, putting all his creativity and love into it, there was also a hidden gift, with a hidden meaning…someone was going in my footsteps. Someone feels the same magic I feel. And it's not just anyone…it's my son! What a great feeling.
