5-Minute Craft: Gift Bag

My niece's birthday is coming up soon and she's an amazing girl! So I got her a little gift which is very nicely wrapped but I want to give it to her in a really cool girly bag. Instead of buying one I'll show you how to create a gift bag in only 5 minutes!

You don't need any fancy scoring board for gift bags, you only need a paper and a box or a book. Match the size of box/book to the size of your gift and then you'll be sure it'll fit. If a 12x12 paper is too small then use a larger patterned paper or a kraft paper that you can embellish later.

5 Minute Craft - Star Card

This card is so easy to make you'll not believe it! And the best thing about it is that it's great for Hannukah or Christmas. Change the pattern of the paper, the colors and the sentiment and you have a great card for both holidays!

You can also change the size of the card. All you need to remember is to have an equal sides triangle. There might be a slight problem in fitting into an envelope but that's easily fixed by simply using a large envelope or giving it in person.

This card can be a gift card holder or even the gift itself if you put some money inside, because if you fold it a certain way it can stay closed like a gift wrap!

5 Minutes Craft - Christmas Junk Journal/ Mini Album

You need a last minute gift or you are stuck with so many Christmas paper scraps and you're lost! I have an idea...take all those paper scraps and turn them into a junk journal or a mini album. Not only will it get you into the holiday spirit but you'll use all your supplies and not feel like the piles of scraps are going to take over your craft space.

All you need are papers, tags, journaling cards and a Bind-it -All. If you don't have a Bind-it-All that's ok, bind your journal with rings. Start with giving the papers the shape you want: a square or a circle. I even made a stocking shape to one of the pages. Cut different sizes so it'll be interesting. Then bind all of them to a journal or a book and embellish!

If you have pieces of fabric or felt add them too. it'll add a soft fuzzy feeling to the album. Fill it with holiday photos, inspirational quotes or family memorabilia, keep it for yourself or give it as a gift. In any case you'll be happy you created something from leftovers and in only 5 minutes!

5 Minutes Craft: Gift Box

I'm always looking for original, beautiful and unique ways to wrap gifts. Here's an idea for giving a gift in a box of your own creation. instead of wrapping the gift put it in a box!

All you need are two square papers depending on the size of box you want. I used 12x12 papers and got a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" box. So basically the size of the box is approximately third of the paper size.

The great thing is about this idea is that you can customize the size, the colors and the theme of the box and match it to the gift itself and the recipient. For a boy's gift use a paper with cars, dinosaurs or shapes. If you're giving a friend concert tickets use a paper with a music theme or if you give your mother a pearl necklace create the box from vintage papers. The possibilities are endless!

You're probably asking yourselves is it possible to create an interactive mini album in 5 minutes?! Yes it's possible! The secret is in the cutting and folding.

This project is not only easy and fast it also makes a great impression as a complicated project you needed hours to create. It'll be a great brag book or a gift. You can personalize it with a different color scheme or theme!

Here's what you'll need:
One 12x12 double sided cardstock
Trimmer
Bone Folder

Bind - it - All and a wire

5 Minutes Craft - Steampunk Magnetic Bookmark

Today in 5 Minutes craft I'm sharing a magnetic bookmark, but not only is it functional and super easy to create it's also in steampunk style! So I'm having fun all around!

Steampunk is one of my favorite styles. I love the dark colors and masculine feeling to it and I also like the mechanical and Si-Fi feel to parts of the imagery. If I can play with cogwheels, wires and other metal embellishments I'm happy! Steampunk is much easier to create than you think. All you need are scraps of paper in dark colors with a pattern like script, numbers, keys,shapes etc. just make sure there are no cute or flowery images. Then you need a metal embellishment that can be a cogwheel, a flower or a key as long as it's metal.

Once you have all the things you need just create the bookmark or even a few of them. The secret to this bookmark is that it's magnetic and can't fall. It holds the book pages between its two sides. Check out the video to see how to create it! Check out the video to see how to create it!

5 Minutes Craft - Baby Book

I'm starting a new video series called: 5 Minutes Crafts!
Not everything we create has to be an elaborate project with lots of materials. Sometimes we want to create a fast, fun and easy project that would not take days. So how about 5 minutes?

The first project in the series is a baby play book made of 4X6 canvas sheets with bold colors like little kids like. The binding is so easy and the book's content is nothing but a letter stamp and paper scraps.

Large Letters Stamps
Black permanent ink
Paper scraps
Raffia
Crop-A-Dile
