SEM - A New Chapter Blog Hop

Welcome to our blog hop! We have some new DT members and we're excited to welcome them to the team. I'm also a little sad to see a few talented ladies leaving us and I wish them all the best!

This blog hop is all about a new chapter, a new beginning. I created a layout about a new beginning we recently celebrated: my son's Bar Mitzvah. This marks a new stage in his life, turning from a boy to a man. We celebrated this special day in a big party with all our family and friends. In honor of this special occasion I created a special album with photos of my son in different ages. Each page also had space for someone to write a blessing or some words of wisdom. This is the cover of the album: 13 YEARS OF MAGIC.

You are invited to create a layout or mixed media project that represents a new chapter in your life. Whether you have already begun this journey or you are thinking about it, we want to know about it. So go ahead and create this special project and don't forget to link it up to SEM before October 5th, 11:59 PDT!
For your chance to win the grand prize, please become a follower of SEM blog and comment on all the blogs.

When you are done, you must go to SEM blog and tell us that you have commented on all the blogs!
Linking up your project will give you an extra entry to win!

*Twist: Use book pages or book text on your project...be creative!

Our hop grand prize has been provided by a wonderful sponsor...Art Freckles

Balance

I'm so excited to design my first layout for Sketchabilities. They have beautiful sketches and here's the first one. For this sketch I did an interactive layout with a small opening book. These are photos of my boys doing a balancing act on a small branch on the forest floor.

You can also join the fun, just enter a layout done with this sketch #75 to the Sketchabilities blog!

Happy New Year

Dear friends!

I want to thank you for a wonderful, exciting and amazing year. For all your love and support, the kind words and compliments. You have all been a great inspiration and fun companions in this journey.

I want to wish you a Happy New Year! I know many of you don't celebrate the Jewish New Year but it's a good opportunity to wish you success, happiness and a lot of love. If there is a good opportunity why waste it, right?

May your wishes come true
May your journey be fruitful
May your troubles be few
and your life ever joyful
May you touch the stars
and reach the sky
May you spread your wings
and start to fly!

Have a wonderful year!

Ins(paper)ation: New Year Cards

Another fresh new year is here . . .
Another year to live!
To banish worry, doubt, and fear,
To love and laugh and give!

William Arthur Ward

This is the season for sending Happy New Year cards for the Jewish New Year. Here are a few cards I made to give you inspiration!

It is tradition to eat an apple dipped in honey in the new year. The apple symbolizes our wish for a whole, smooth year and the honey is for the year to be sweet.

Flowers are always a good theme for any card especially a card for the new year with bright and happy wishes!

have a wonderful year!

Bee Digital Freebie

The Jewish New Year is just around the corner and I'm starting the celebrations with a really cute freebie!
One of the traditions of the Jewish New Year is to eat apple with honey. The apple is for a round, whole and smooth year and the honey is for a sweet year.  These symbols are often found on holiday cards, decorations, dishes as well as food, together with the bee that is responsible for making that delicious honey.

Have a wonderful creative year!
